We are looking for residents age 0 to 19 who deserve to be in the spotlight for their accomplishments.  If you know of anyone who volunteers, has started a fundraiser, has done something exemplary at school, excelled in athletics or donated goods or services to a worthy cause, we want to know about these young people.

Please send the young person’s name, age, address, telephone number, grade and a photo, along with a short description of the student and their accomplishment to  shoreline@highlandshores.net.

Also, please provide contact information for the organization that was helped or was involved.   Address, last name and telephone number will not be published.  We will choose one person to spotlight each month, depending on participation and space.

The Highland Shores Community is conveniently located in the northwest area of Highland Village and on the south shore of Lake Lewisville.  We are a master planned community of just over 1,800 homes.  The first homes were constructed in 1985. 

Community amenities include an on-site management office, a community center, 3 swimming pools, 8 lighted tennis courts, 1 basketball court, 2 soccer fields, greenbelts, over 5 miles of concrete paths and 2 children's playgrounds.

Highland Shores Babysitters

Are you interested in babysitting right here in your own neighborhood?  Email rjohnson@ccmcnet.com with your name, age and phone number and we'll put you on "The List".  If you are CPR certified, please note that as well.
This list will only be available to Highland Shores Residents,  and will NOT be distributed outside of Highland Shores.

Pool Tags are available at the Management Office.
You may pick them up at the office. 
The office is open M-F, 8:00am - 5:00pm.

After hours pick-up at

Residents - must show proof of residency
Renters - must have a permission letter from the owner along with owners name, address, phone, property address and renters phone number.

Pool 2 will open May 18.
Pools 1 & 3 will open May 25

Spring Reminders

Portable recreation equipment such as hockey and soccer goals, volleyball and badminton nets, skateboard ramps, archery targets and equipment and baseball batting cages may not be left out when not in use (unless a permanent location has been submitted and approved). 

All recreational vehicles (boats, jet skis, trailers, rv's etc.) must be stored out of view from the street.
Drought Survivors
A Landscape and Gardening Presentation
at the Community Center

You're invited!  Please come join Monica Caffin, Denton County Master Gardener, for a presentation on heat tolerant landscaping.  After last years drought conditions, many of us are having to replace the landscaping we lost.  Monica will explain and advise what works best in these conditions.  She will also be available to answer any questions you may have.

Registration is a must for this presentatation and can be done so by emailing rjohnson@ccmcnet.com or by completing the registration found on the "forms" page of this website.
